Job summary

Anderselite Ltd in Bridlington is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on a major building project. You will oversee commercial management from procurement through final account and work closely with the project team on site.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience with a main contractor in building, strong procurement and contract administration skills, and a sound knowledge of valuations, forecasting and cost control.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as QS in construction
• Experience with main contractor in building environment
• Strong procurement and contract administration experience
• Knowledge of valuations, forecasting and cost control
• Familiar with JCT, NEC or equivalent contracts
• CSCS card and UK driving licence desirable

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects from procurement to final account
• Procure and manage subcontractors per programme
• Handle subcontract accounts, applications, payments and valuations
• Prepare external valuations and forecast accuracy
• Monitor project costs, liabilities and performance
• Carry out measurements from drawings and site
• Manage variations and commercial risk
• Assist with delays management
• Produce CVRs, valuations and other reports
• Maintain project records and documentation
• Collaborate with clients, consultants and supply chain
• Negotiate commercial changes and variations
