Job summary

A highly successful organisation is seeking a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join the finance team. This hybrid role works from home two days per week and three days in the office, offering a chance to develop across the ledger and into management accounting tasks.

You will process invoices, manage supplier payments, reconcile ledgers, and support VAT returns while maintaining accurate records. Progression to journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical abilities with an eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-functional teams.
• Support CIMA/ACCA studies with the provided study leave and resources.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices and supplier payments.
• Review the purchase ledger and prepare monthly creditor analysis.
• Reconcile company credit cards and process foreign supplier payments.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries and support VAT returns.
