Job summary

Perth College UHI seeks an experienced procurement professional to shape approaches across the organisation, collaborating with colleagues from senior leaders to service teams. You will lead procurement planning and category strategies that meet the college's needs and objectives.

You will influence decisions, understand who benefits, and drive sustainability in procurement activities while developing others and connecting with procurement peers across Scotland.

Qualifications

• Must have public sector procurement experience and practical end-to-end tendering
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing post-award arrangements
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders across an organisation

Responsibilities

• Shape procurement approaches with stakeholders and develop plans
• Create category strategies reflecting the college's needs
• Build relationships across the college, from senior leaders to service teams
• Ask questions, explore options and influence decisions with clear beneficiaries in mind
• Take ownership of work, influence outcomes and mentor a colleague where appropriate
• Support and develop the wider procurement community across Scotland
