Job summary

Venn Group is recruiting for an Internal Auditor on a 3-6 month contract with a large Public Sector Body in Central London. The role offers hybrid working, 35 hours per week, and a high likelihood of extension beyond the initial term.

You will conduct branch audits and investigations, provide assurance and recommendations, maintain audit logs, and liaise with committees to develop internal audit procedures, strengthening controls across branches and regions.

Qualifications

• Extensive auditing experience in large, complex organisations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Working with branches and regions to promote effective financial management and accurate branch accounts.
• Undertaking regular audits, financial reviews and testing of internal controls.
• Providing audit assurance, recommendations and reports from audit visits.
• Maintaining audit issues log and following up on matters from audits and investigations.
• Reviewing and updating policy, processes and training materials related to branch finance.
