Job summary

Venn Group is seeking an Internal Auditor to join a large Public Sector Body on a 3–6 month contract basis. The role involves branch audits, special investigations, and recommendations to mitigate risks, with liaison to committees to enhance audit procedures.

The ideal candidate is a fully qualified accountant with extensive internal audit experience and strong communication skills, performing audits across branches and regions from Central London.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience auditing large, complex organisations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Internal audit experience.
• Experience of financial accounting in a large, complex organisation.
• Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

Responsibilities

• Perform branch audits and special investigations.
• Provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
• Liaise with committees to develop audit procedures.
• Promote effective branch financial management and accuracy.
• Test internal controls and analyse branch transactions.
• Maintain audit logs and follow up on issues.
• Deliver training on finance systems and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
