Job summary

Middlesbrough Development Corporation is seeking a Public Health Analyst to join the South Tees Public Health team. The post focuses on providing public health intelligence expertise to the Public Health Team, the wider Councils and partners.

You will work with data and apply statistical techniques to understand health needs, address health inequalities, and determine actions. The role supports needs assessments, equity audits and health impact assessments within a dynamic, blended home/office

Qualifications

• Experience with data and knowledge of statistical techniques.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist data and intelligence analysis and interpretation to understand the health needs of the population, addressing health inequalities and determining priorities for action.
• Support key business processes such as needs assessment, equity audits and health impact assessments.
• Monitor the performance of public health programmes and outcomes and embed public health performance measures into corporate and directorate reporting requirements.
• Work across departments and directorates in a broad blended home/office working environment.
• Present complex public health intelligence to a wide range of audiences in accessible, meaningful ways.
