Job summary

Hackney Council is seeking a proactive Public Health Analyst for the Adult Social Care transformation programme. You will deliver end-to-end analytics to understand demand, reduce needs and support prevention across Hackney’s communities.

You will transform datasets with Tableau, Python and Google Workspace, develop predictive models, and advise on evidence-based planning while upholding data ethics and governance. Flexible/hybrid working is available within London.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to analyse, interpret and present complex data clearly for different audiences.
• Experience in public health or health-focused analytics within local government, healthcare, or charity.
• Ability to manage projects and communicate insight to support decision-making.
• Understanding of data confidentiality, ethics and information governance.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and using data to drive change.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end analytical projects to model social care demand and prevention.
• Transform complex datasets into actionable insight using Tableau, Python and Google Workspace.
• Develop predictive models and longer-term demand projections for Adult Social Care.
• Provide expert analytical advice and contribute to cross-team data capability building.
• Collaborate with residents and partners to embed lived experience in analysis.
