Job summary

PA Consulting in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Manager/PMO Specialist to lead and support major programmes across Defence, infrastructure, transport, energy and public services. You will tailor PMO processes, manage risks and budgets, and build strong client relationships in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

You will mentor junior colleagues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply a mix of Agile and Waterfall approaches to deliver measurable value for our clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in project management consulting/PMO or related roles.
• Experience applying diverse PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams from initiation to closure.
• Develop and execute project plans with defined scope, goals, and timelines.
• Tailor PMO processes (P3M) to fit specific tasks and client needs.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies with mitigation strategies.
• Maintain regular client communication and transparent status updates.
• Monitor budgets and resource allocation to meet financial targets.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
