Job summary

Wynne Consulting Limited is seeking a Project Manager to lead industrial automation projects in the Manchester area, coordinating between clients, design and software engineers, panel builders and commissioning teams.

You'll manage the full lifecycle from enquiry to handover, focusing on PLC control systems, electrical panels and integrated automation while balancing budget, schedule and quality, safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects in industrial automation, control systems or electrical engineering environments.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems.
• Experience delivering electrical control panel design and build projects.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, resources and customer expectations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
• Familiar with Siemens, Rockwell or Mitsubishi PLC platforms.
• Experience with SCADA and HMI systems.
• Control system integration projects.
• Electrical installation and commissioning.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
• FAT and SAT activities.
• Experience in manufacturing, process, utilities or industrial engineering sectors.

Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle from enquiry through to commissioning and handover.
• Lead the delivery of PLC control system and electrical control panel projects.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Coordinate internal engineering teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to customers and stakeholders.
• Manage project risks, scope changes and commercial considerations.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT, installation and commissioning activities.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure successful project outcomes.
