Job summary

High Speed Two Ltd is recruiting two Project Engineers to join the client side Integrated Project Team overseeing the EKFB Main Works Civils contract. You will review contractor designs, provide technical assurance and liaise between HS2 and EKFB.

Hybrid working, offices along the route. Salary £60,000–£65,514 plus 12% pension, health and 25 days holiday. Progression to Senior Project Engineer £80,000–£92,400 plus package.

Qualifications

• Qualified Civil Engineer with design or Design Management background.
• Experience reviewing contractor designs and assuring detailed designs.
• Understanding of design assurance, technical compliance and engineering requirements.
• Experience working with designers, contractors or multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor designs and provide technical assurance against HS2 requirements.
• Identify design gaps, non-compliances and risks, and develop solutions.
• Act as technical interface between HS2 and EKFB and manage queries (RFI).
• Support Engineering Manager with risk-based assurance across design and construction.
• Review assurance evidence and support approvals and stage gates.
