Job summary

Catalyst is seeking a Project Accountant to join our Finance Team in Belfast. You will manage the financial delivery of a diverse portfolio of funded projects, ensuring budgets, claims, reporting and funding income are accurate, compliant and delivered on time.

The role welcomes professionally qualified or experienced part-qualified accountants who can demonstrate a strong track record in project accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in project accounting and finance business partnering.
• Experience with budgets, forecasts, and financial claims.
• Strong financial controls, reconciliations and reporting processes.
• Advanced Excel and use of financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, monitor expenditure and report against funding.
• Review and submit project claims prepared by finance assistant.
• Monitor income, costs and cashflow, flag variances and risks.
• Ensure compliance with funder rules and internal controls.
• Maintain audit-ready project files and support audits.
• Produce timely financial reports for managers and funders.
