Job summary

SF Partners in South Leicestershire is seeking a Buying Administrator to support the procurement and product development process. You will prepare samples, assist visual merchandising, and coordinate with design, sales and approvals teams to meet deadlines.

This role offers progression in procurement, exposure to supplier meetings and market analysis, with 1-2 days of home working once confident in responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced and administrative role; procurement/product experience is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proactive and willing to chase outstanding information to keep projects on track.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for sales meetings and customers.
• Support visual merchandising and product presentation.
• Coordinate with design, sales and approvals teams to meet deadlines.
• Review product samples and provide feedback to meet standards.
• Communicate delays or issues to relevant teams.
• Maintain product development trackers with accurate information.
• Attend supplier meetings and trade fairs for market insights.
• Analyse sales forecasts and product performance to spot trends.
• Research market trends, customer demographics and potential new product ideas.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations to balance price and quality.
