Job summary

Astute's Power Team is partnering with a renewable energy provider to recruit a Procurement Manager for UK-wide operations, with main sites in Sheffield, Nottingham and London.

The role offers a competitive salary and a benefits package, plus hybrid working. You will lead end-to-end procurement, build robust supplier relationships, and drive cost savings while ensuring safety and sustainability across diverse operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement or category management within energy, heavy industrial or asset-intensive infrastructure sectors.
• End-to-end tendering experience and ability to negotiate high-value contracts.
• Experience in procurement transformation, process improvement or supply chain insourcing.

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities including RFQs, purchase orders and invoice matching for outages and daily operations.
• Liaise with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety and Finance to plan purchasing and budgeting.
• Develop sourcing strategies for CAPEX and OPEX, services, fuel, consumables and outages.
• Source, evaluate and manage suppliers and contractors, negotiating terms and drafting contracts.
• Build strong supplier relationships and monitor KPIs to drive cost savings and resilience.
• Analyse spend data and market trends to identify value-for-money opportunities.
• Ensure suppliers meet technical specs, safety, environmental and ethical standards.
• Support procurement transformation through policy improvements and market awareness.
