Job summary

Harrods is seeking a Process Technologist to support development managers in creating and refining process controls across central production kitchens. You will scale recipes, ensure quality and lead cross-functional collaboration to bring innovative concepts to market.

You will combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness, driving continuous improvement, documentation, and efficient product launches while upholding Harrods’ renowned quality and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience in new product development and process management in a food manufacturing, food retail or central production kitchen environment.
• A qualification or degree in Professional Cookery, Culinary Arts, Food Science, Food Product Management or a related discipline, alongside a Food Hygiene Certificate or Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
• Strong knowledge of food production processes, menu and range development, food safety requirements, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining accurate process specifications, recipes and build documentation for both new and existing products.
• Scaling recipes from development stage through to production kitchen readiness, ensuring quality and consistency throughout.
• Collaborating with culinary, technical and production teams to develop and uphold product quality standards and specifications.
• Monitoring yields, wastage and process performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and greater efficiency.
• Producing production-ready recipes, supporting documentation and standard operating procedures to enable successful product launches and manufacturing handovers.
