Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager in Birmingham to join a growing private client team. You will manage your own portfolio, handling compliance and advisory work, and interact with senior leadership on complex planning projects.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in private client tax within practice.
• Confident handling both compliance and advisory work.
• Good technical knowledge across personal tax matters.
• Experience managing client relationships and deadlines.
• ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent experience).
• Proactive, organised, and commercially aware.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private client tax clients, ensuring compliance work is delivered accurately and on time.
• Lead and support advisory projects across income tax, CGT and IHT.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns and reports.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Liaise with HMRC and other third parties on behalf of clients.
• Support junior team members through mentoring and review of work.
• Contribute to the development and growth of the private client offering.
