BakerHicks in London is seeking a Principal Engineer for Electrical Building Services. You will provide technical leadership across complex projects, shaping design approaches and project outcomes.

You will lead design, review calculations, mentor engineers, engage clients, contribute to bids, and promote best practices while benefiting from hybrid working, supportive culture and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Electrical building services design experience essential.
• Experience leading projects and delivering on time and budget.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Mentoring or leading technical engineers and graduates.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional recognition.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical building services design on complex projects.
• Oversee production and review of calculations, specs and reports.
• Build relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Support planning, resource management and commercial performance.
• Mentor and develop engineers, graduates and technicians.
• Contribute to bids, proposals and business development.
