The Francis Crick Institute is seeking a meticulous Pre-Award Grants Assistant to join the Grants team. You will support research funding applications, maintain records, and ensure compliant processes across Worktribe and Workday, reporting to the Pre-Award Grants Team Lead, Jane Benstead.

This full-time, permanent role offers hybrid working and a starting salary of £32,000 with benefits, subject to skills and experience. Closing date 18 November 2026.

Formación

• Experience providing administrative support in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing data and records.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving, prioritising tasks and following up on actions.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, and learning new systems.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Flexible, collaborative approach and enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide administrative support to the Pre-Award Grants team and handle related activities.
• Maintain accurate records across grants management and finance systems (Worktribe/Workday).
• Track legal agreements, follow up on actions, and keep colleagues informed of progress.
• Assist with compliance checks on research funders and project partners.
• Respond to routine queries and liaise with researchers, funders, and colleagues.
• Ensure records, correspondence and approvals are documented and maintained.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality and ways of working.
