The Research Funding team at the University of Warwick is seeking a Finance Manager to lead a small post-award finance team, managing grants and awards across university departments and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting. This role contributes to developing financial systems and reports to the Head of Finance (Research).

The position is a fixed-term contract until 30 September 2027, with the option of full-time or four days per week in a hybrid setup (up to 40% remote).

Qualifikationen

• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards.
• Substantial experience of management accounts.
• Hold a recognised professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
• Competent extracting and analysing financial information from SAP.
• Competent use of Power query tools and Excel.
• Strong relationship building skills, calm under pressure, supportive leader.
• Able to recommend process improvements and automate processes.
• Previous supervisory experience with a small team.

Aufgaben

• Lead a small post-award finance team on financial management of research grants.
• Develop and improve financial and administrative management systems.
• Ensure efficient operation and high service delivery to departments.
• Liaise with funders, handle contractual disputes, audits and compliance.
• Report to the Head of Finance (Research) and support CPD and networks.
