Job summary

D&AD is seeking a PR & Communications Executive to support its press office and thought leadership agenda within a globally recognised creative organisation. The role sits in the Marketing team and reports to the Head of PR, focusing on media relations, external communications and influencer activity.

Based in London with hybrid working (minimum two days in the office per week), the role offers a salary band of £28,000–£36,000 depending on skills and experience, with progression through the band

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience in PR, communications or related role.
• Strong media relations understanding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proactive and curious with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of PR campaigns around D&AD's key initiatives, including the Awards, Festival, Learn programmes, research, events and partnerships.
• Research and identify relevant journalists, publications, podcasts, broadcasters and other media opportunities across the UK and international markets.
• Build, update and maintain media lists and contact databases.
• Support the day-to-day running of the D&AD press office, coordinating media enquiries in collaboration with the Head of PR & Communications.
• Undertake media outreach and follow-ups, building relationships with journalists and media contacts.
• Draft press releases, media pitches, briefing documents and other communications materials.
• Coordinate press assets including imagery, biographies, research and supporting information.
• Coordinate interviews, media attendance and accreditation around D&AD events and other key moments.
• Monitor and log D&AD's media coverage and relevant industry news.
• Identify and share significant coverage and opportunities with internal teams.
• Produce regular PR and communications reporting, including coverage, reach and sentiment.
• Research emerging industry conversations and media trends that could create opportunities for D&AD.
• Support the delivery of external communications and thought-leadership activity.
• Research topics, trends and industry conversations around D&AD's priority areas.
• Develop briefing materials for interviews, opinion pieces and speaking engagements.
• Identify stories and insights from across D&AD's programmes that could generate opportunities.
• Draft key messages, Q&As and other external communications materials.
• Maintain communications calendars and identify opportunities around industry moments.
