Job summary

Atos SE is seeking a PostgreSQL database administrator with strong data modelling skills to join our team in the UK. You will manage the Postgres application data store across environments, define data models for new feeds, and own core data structures while collaborating with developers on data requirements.

You will monitor, tune, and migrate data structures, ensure security controls, and work with data engineers and scientists on ingestion. Hybrid work with 2 days in office.

Qualifications

• Experience managing PostgreSQL databases across environments.
• Ability to design data models for data feeds.
• Knowledge of roles, permissions and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience with migrations and backups across environments.
• Familiarity with cloud and on‑prem environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage the PostgreSQL database cluster across environments.
• Monitor and tune performance for efficiency.
• Migrate data structures between databases and offline environments.
• Own data models and lifecycle of data in Postgres.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists on data ingestion.
• Implement security controls, roles, permissions, and RLS.
• Coordinate with infrastructure on installation and patching.
• Explore clustering, sharding, and extensions such as PostGIS, pgvector, AGE.
