Job summary

MFS Investment Management is seeking a Portfolio Specialist Lead to oversee equity order entry and support investment teams. You will coordinate with operations and trading to ensure accurate, timely execution and manage workflow around market deadlines.

Expect to work closely with portfolio management and risk teams to monitor cash flows, transitions, and instruction-based adjustments. Hybrid work environment with strong emphasis on accuracy and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and related investment and trading operations experience.
• Proven expertise in equity, fixed income and derivative security types.
• Experience with MFS proprietary trading systems desired.
• Proven ability to perform job responsibilities independently and effectively in a demanding environment. Attention to detail and accuracy required.

Responsibilities

• Use MFS Proprietary Global Modeling tool to create cash management equity program order baskets and hand off to trading for execution.
• Provide support to the equity investment team by creating or modifying orders in trading systems and ensuring accuracy prior to execution.
• Resolve compliance issues with operations and portfolio management and guide orders to trading blotter for execution by equity trading.
• Monitor email communication between investment, trading and portfolio specialist teams to prioritize and complete orders timely and accurately.
• For Non-US market coverage, uses DTCC CTM and ensures daily trade date matching and Straight Through Processing.
