Job summary

Motion Applied are seeking a Platform Engineer to help build the Fleet Connect cloud infrastructure and drive secure, scalable systems. You will work with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Test Engineers, SREs and Systems Engineers to deliver robust platforms.

Based in Woking, this hybrid role requires collaboration across teams and a passion for clean code, DevOps practices and open source tooling. You will influence architecture and security governance while learning the full lifecycle of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years with AWS or other cloud providers.
• Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform, Ansible or SaltStack.
• 3+ years with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, C/C++, Java or Rust.
• Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD and Git.
• Willingness to learn new languages as needed.
• Knowledge of observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
• English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Create and improve the Motion Applied Fleet Connect cloud infrastructure.
• Lead on implementing security governance across products and platform.
• Leverage open-source software to extend capabilities and tailor for customers.
• Champion architectural and technical best practices across software teams.
