Job summary

ITV plc in London (Hybrid) is seeking a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to join the Common Platform and Streaming teams. You will design and implement scalable infrastructure, automate deployments, and help ensure reliable delivery of ITVX content.

You’ll work with Terraform, Kubernetes on AWS, implement IaC, review PRs, and collaborate across embedded and platform teams. Strong knowledge of CI/CD, monitoring, incident response, and cost-aware, secure cloud practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience designing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure (prefer AWS).
• Proven IaC experience with Terraform and version control strategies.
• Experience deploying container workloads on Kubernetes and managing Kubernetes deployments.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Proven ability to respond to production incidents affecting infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Implement IaC with Terraform and support the Common Platform.
• Work with Streaming to prioritise upgrades and support deployments.
• Review PRs for new infrastructure changes and access.
• Maintain infrastructure for Streaming and the Common Platform (Prometheus).
• Manage Kubernetes upgrades in AWS.
• Design future infrastructure for new apps or redesigns.
• Share best practices within the Common Platform team.
