Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is seeking a Planning Manager to drive redevelopment projects and advise on planning matters across the UK. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, including pre-application work and liaison with LPAs.

The successful candidate will have a Town Planning degree and MRPTI membership, with strong knowledge of planning systems and Biodiversity Net Gain. Hybrid working, an excellent pension, and car benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in Town Planning required.
• MRPTI membership essential for this opportunity.
• Strong working knowledge of Town and Country Planning system and Biodiversity Net Gain.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice and guidance internally on development, redevelopment, change of use and alternative use projects.
• Taking ownership of the day-to-day management of projects.
• Preparing pre-application consultation briefs to LPAs and attending meetings with related officers.
• Preparing and submitting appraisals, statements and applications for projects, changes of use and Certificates of Lawfulness.
• Selecting and managing relationships with external advisors and specialist consultants.
• Preparing objections to proposals on neighbouring properties.
• Monitoring local plans to assess the impact on sites.
• Attending site and review meetings when needed.
