Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor for a permanent role in Hull. If you're an NMC-registered nurse or HCPC-registered paramedic, physiotherapist or occupational therapist, this position offers a structured alternative to hands‑on clinical care while your clinical judgment remains central.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports

Responsibilities

• Conduct face‑to‑face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence‑based written reports
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
• Attend the assessment centre as required
