Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is looking for a Software Engineer to design, build, and enhance web applications using PHP, Laravel and Vue.js. The role focuses on scalable solutions, collaboration with cross‑functional teams, and maintaining robust code with solid testing practices.

You’ll work with Linux administration and container technologies, applying security best practices and staying up to date with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Full stack development experience with PHP, Laravel and Vue.js.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration and containers.
• Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high quality web applications using PHP, Laravel, Vue.js and related technologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, develop and implement new features and enhancements.
• Write clean, efficient code and follow coding standards; perform testing and debugging.
• Troubleshoot Linux administration and container issues; ensure application security.
