Job summary

Pets at Home is hiring a Buying Assistant for our Food Buying team. Based at our Handforth Support Office, this hybrid role balances administration with trading activity to bring great products to customers across the UK.

You'll support Buyers and Category Planning Managers, handle new product set-up, promotions and price changes, and maintain accurate data. Strong Excel skills and supplier collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational abilities and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong Excel proficiency for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.
• A proactive, detail-focused approach to data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support Buyers and Category Planning Managers with admin and trading tasks
• Set up new products, promotions and price changes; maintain data
• Produce reports and track actions to meet deadlines
• Build relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams
• Coordinate samples, store communications and competitive insights
• Help ensure launches and promotions run smoothly and on time
