Job summary

Pets at Home is seeking a proactive Buying Assistant to join the Food Buying team in Handforth, Cheshire. The role combines administration, data management and trading support for pet food products across the UK, with a hybrid work pattern three office days per week.

You will assist Buyers and Category Planning Managers with product set-up, promotions, pricing changes and data accuracy, while building relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Highly organised administrator with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for analysis, reporting and data management.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Buyers and Category Planning Managers with admin and trading activities.
• Manage new product set-up, promotions, price changes and data accuracy.
• Produce reports and track key actions to meet deadlines.
• Build relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate samples, store communications and competitor insights.
• Help launches, promotions and trading plans run smoothly and on time.
