Job summary

UK Fusion Energy (UKFE) Ltd. seeks a senior regulatory professional to own permitting and consenting activities across the STEP programme.

You will coordinate strategy, develop regulatory frameworks, and act as the primary liaison with regulators and government bodies to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle. You will lead a small team, drive governance and assurance, and support strategic regulatory engagement across the wider programme while reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in permitting, licensing or regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring colleagues.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with regulators or government bodies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end permitting, licensing and exemption workstreams.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulators and government entities.
• Lead governance, audits and assurance of regulatory activities.
• Mentor a team of permitting professionals and promote best practices.
