Job summary

Isio is expanding its Client Onboarding & Change team and is seeking a Calculations & Benefits Analyst to support pension calculation and implementation projects across new business and regulatory initiatives (e.g. GMP equalisation, Pensions Dashboards).

Offices in Manchester, Reading, Croydon, Birmingham, Bristol or Belfast with a hybrid workstyle; role involves collaboration with Administration, Systems, BAU teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Understanding of UK Defined Benefit and UK Defined Contribution pension schemes.
• Experience in calculation-based roles within defined benefit pensions.
• Involvement in implementations, change and/or transformation projects.
• Ability to interpret scheme rules, technical documents, complex requirements and deliver practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support design, build, and delivery of calculation solutions and implementation projects.
• Develop and review calculation proformas, test grids, and documentation.
• Perform user acceptance testing and investigate calculation discrepancies.
• Work with stakeholders to embed new systems and processes into BAU.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to transformation initiatives.
• Take ownership of tasks and deliver outputs to deadlines.
• Support governance, risk management, and post-implementation reviews.
• Coach junior colleagues and contribute to team development.
