Job summary

Marsh is seeking Pensions Actuarial Consultants to join our team to provide high quality support and advice regarding DB pension schemes. You will work in a team to develop customised advice for trustees and corporates, across funding, investment, risk transfer and covenant topics.

You will lead client meetings, tailor advice to client circumstances, and act as a final reviewer for actuarial calculations, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and influence fee strategy.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Actuary or nearing qualification.
• Strong communication, analytical and numerical skills for pensions actuarial work.
• Ability to manage projects and supervise junior colleagues.
• Knowledge of UK pension scheme operation types.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and presentations.
• Provide informed views on topics and tailor advice to client circumstances.
• Utilise actuarial skills to consult on technical topics for clients.
• Communicate with clients clearly and succinctly.
• Act as final technical reviewer for actuarial calculations.
• Agree strategy, direction and resourcing for client work.
• Mentor employees or provide feedback on client work.
• Participate in setting and monitoring fees and budgets.
