Job summary

Princes Group in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our payroll team on a permanent basis. You will process weekly and monthly payrolls for colleagues across the UK, ensure HMRC compliance, and support payroll improvements.

The role offers hybrid working with four days in the office and one day WFH. Key duties include handling starters/leavers, pro-rata calculations, deductions, RTI/Auto Enrolment, pension payments, and payroll reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll roles handling weekly and monthly payrolls.
• CIPP membership is desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC compliance.
• Strong Excel skills and numerical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process new starters/leavers and salary changes for weekly and monthly payrolls.
• Calculate pro-rata payments and process time sheets.
• Handle third-party deductions, CSA, Court Orders, AoE and pension contributions.
• Submit RTI and Auto Enrolment on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Provide reports to Finance and assist with end-of-year tasks.
• Support payroll manager and team with ad hoc duties.
