Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to take full ownership of the payroll for approximately 800 employees on a permanent basis. The role offers hybrid working and a clear opportunity to manage payroll independently within a supportive, market-leading business.

You will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, including starters/leavers, pay variations and deductions, with a focus on accuracy, compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience managing payroll for large employee populations (c.800).
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll processes and statutory deductions.
• Ability to handle HMRC submissions and year-end reporting.
• Experience with auto-enrolment pensions and benefits deductions.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for c.800 employees accurately and on time.
• Manage starters, leavers and contractual changes including pay variations.
• Calculate and process overtime, statutory pay, bonuses and other additions/deductions.
• Ensure PAYE, National Insurance and other deductions are applied correctly.
