Job summary

Our Media is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing for over 1,200 staff across five payrolls. You will work closely with the Payroll Manager, Finance and People teams to deliver a smooth payroll service.

The role requires accuracy, organisation and confidence with payroll data, with excellent communication and IT skills. We offer a fixed-term 12-month contract with hybrid working and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll operations or administration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good organization and time management.
• Respect for confidential information.
• Proficient IT skills; Excel experience preferred.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.

• Confidence with numbers and payroll data.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Payroll Manager with preparing the monthly payrolls.
• Set up new starters and leavers in the system.
• Liaise with the People Team for payroll changes.
• Enter accurate payroll information for employees.
• Check tax codes and deductions.
• Calculate holiday, sick, maternity pay, etc.
• Assist employees with pay and timesheet queries.
• Issue P45s and other forms.
• Update payroll processes in line with legislation.
