Job summary

Search in Harrogate is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join its financial planning team, supporting advisers and clients across retirement planning, investments, and protection. You will produce high-quality suitability reports, conduct detailed research, and help deliver compliant recommendations while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent client service.

Hybrid working is available (2-3 days from home).

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within a financial planning environment.
• Strong report-writing and technical research skills.
• Good knowledge of pensions, investments, and protection products.
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong paraplanning experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and communication abilities.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high standards of client service.

Responsibilities

• Analyse client information and financial circumstances to support the development of financial planning recommendations.
• Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planning solutions.
• Produce clear, accurate, and compliant suitability reports.
• Review documentation and recommendations for accuracy, consistency, and technical integrity.
• Maintain client records and support the efficient processing of new and existing business.
• Respond to technical queries from colleagues and assist in delivering excellent client service.
• Prioritise workloads effectively to meet deadlines and service standards.
