Job summary

Elida Beauty Group in Liverpool is seeking an interim Packaging Engineer to lead packaging development across primary and secondary components for its fast-paced FMCG portfolio. Based in the Knowledge Quarter, this full-time temporary 6‑month role is 37.5 hours per week, with a hybrid pattern of 3 days in the office and travel to suppliers in the UK and occasionally abroad.

You will work with R&D, Marketing and Supply Management to design packaging that meets cost, regulatory and sustainability

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in developing and delivering packaging solutions.
• Experience with aerosols and rigid plastics is preferred.
• Ability to manage projects across design agencies, suppliers, and marketing.
• Strong verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging development across primary and secondary pack components.
• Coordinate testing of packaging elements with 3Ps and suppliers.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and protect IP rights.
• Create and maintain packaging specifications.
• Work with cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing and Supply Chain.
