Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking an ambitious and motivated Team Manager to lead and develop a skilled Occupational Therapy and Community Care Officer team. This is an exciting opportunity to influence practice, develop people and shape the future of Occupational Therapy within Adult Social Care.

As Team Manager, you will provide operational and professional leadership, support quality practice, workforce development and service improvement while working with partners across health, housing

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Significant post-qualification experience within Adult Social Care, community services or a related setting.
  • Experience leading, supervising or managing staff.
  • Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding.
  • Excellent assessment, decision-making, communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise and support Occupational Therapy staff.
  • Manage performance, quality standards and statutory responsibilities.
  • Support complex case management and decision-making.
  • Promote strengths-based, person-centred practice.
  • Ensure compliance with Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding requirements.
  • Lead service improvement and support strategic developments.
  • Build strong partnerships across health, housing and community services.
  • Manage resources effectively to achieve positive outcomes.
