Neath Port Talbot Council is recruiting a confident, organised Noise & Statutory Nuisance Enforcement Officer to join the General Environmental Health team. The role is mobile and hybrid, with flexibility to work from home and council workplaces.

You will lead investigations into noise and statutory nuisance, carry out visits and inspections, gather evidence, serve notices, and prepare witness statements for court when required.

Formación

• Experience of environmental health or a similar field.
• A relevant HNC, Diploma, BSc, MSc or higher accredited qualification in Environmental Health or a related subject.
• Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage priorities with minimum supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with colleagues, elected members and the public.

Responsabilidades

• Undertaking triage, providing initial advice and prioritising service requests.
• Carrying out visits, revisits and inspections, including medium and higher-risk work.
• Investigating noise and statutory nuisance complaints and gathering evidence.
• Preparing and serving statutory notices and maintaining accurate case records.
• Preparing witness statements and attending court as a witness when required.
• Working across general environmental health, housing, pollution and health and safety activities to meet service needs.
