Qualifications

• Experience in environmental nuisance investigations, especially noise nuisance investigations.
• Strong knowledge of statutory nuisance legislation and enforcement.
• Experience dealing with waste accumulation and related environmental issues.
• Excellent investigative, evidence-gathering and report-writing skills.
• Ability to liaise confidently with residents, businesses and stakeholders.
• Experience managing a varied caseload and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Investigate noise nuisance complaints from residential and commercial properties.
• Deal with commercial noise complaints including premises, plant and activities.
• Investigate waste accumulation and associated environmental issues.
• Undertake site visits, inspections and investigations to gather evidence.
• Assess potential statutory nuisance and determine appropriate enforcement actions.
• Use monitoring techniques, including noise monitoring where required.
