Job summary

Evolve Psychology Services is seeking a qualified Practitioner Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team delivering neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people, across NHS-funded and private pathways.

You will conduct face-to-face and remote assessments, provide feedback to families, and contribute to high-quality reports, while collaborating with clinicians to ensure timely, accurate diagnoses and effective support for families.

Qualifications

• Must hold HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Minimum of 1 year experience conducting diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD in children and young people.
• Strong understanding of differential diagnosis in neurodevelopmental presentations.
• In-depth knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for autism and ADHD.
• Trained and experienced in diagnostic tools such as ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
• Effective time management and caseload organisation within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face structured observations as part of the neurodevelopmental assessment process.
• Conduct remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers via Zoom.
• Participate in peer MDT diagnostic discussions with senior clinicians.
• Deliver clear, compassionate feedback to families.
• Produce accurate clinical reports including diagnostic formulations with support from our tools.
• Work to meet service KPIs and contribute to clinical supervision where applicable.
• Travel to a clinic base to conduct in-person assessments (hybrid).
