Job summary

Hargreaves Lansdown PLC in Bristol seeks a Network Engineer to own operation and security of HL's enterprise network. You’ll manage incidents, changes, patches and documentation, with hands-on work on Aruba Wi‑Fi, Zscaler ZIA/ZPA and Check Point Firewalls.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Network Engineer, Network Security Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Hands-on experience supporting Aruba Wi‑Fi environments.
• Hands-on experience with Zscaler ZIA and ZPA.
• Hands-on experience with Check Point Firewalls.
• Experience in Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
• Patching, firmware updates and upgrades of network and security components.
• Strong networking fundamentals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with network monitoring and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Own incidents from investigation to resolution with clear communication and documentation.
• Perform RCA as part of Problem Management.
• Plan, raise and implement changes via Change Management.
• Deliver regular patching, firmware updates and software upgrades across network infrastructure.
• Review security advisories and apply required patches and remediation.
• Maintain and upgrade HPE Aruba wireless infrastructure, troubleshoot wireless issues.
• Administer Zscaler ZIA and ZPA, including policy changes and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Administer Check Point Firewalls, including policies and NAT configurations.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, Cyber Security, Systems Operations, Cloud and Applications teams for end-to-end solutions.
• Support continual service improvement to boost availability and security.
