Job summary

Stirling Council in Stirling is seeking a Neighbourhood Maintenance Operative- Driver to help keep our public spaces safe, clean and welcoming across the Stirling area. This hands-on outdoor role involves maintenance of parks, open spaces and sports grounds, with opportunities to operate vehicles and equipment.

The role supports Land (Neighbourhood) and Roads Services, requires working flexibly across services, and offers hybrid working where the role allows.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Physical ability to undertake manual outdoor work
• Understanding of health and safety responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Carry out grounds maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, weeding, litter picking and street sweeping
• Support cemetery teams with non-grave digging duties
• Operate vehicles, plant and equipment safely and in accordance with training
• Work with colleagues, communities and partner services to deliver place-based improvements
• Maintain high standards of customer service and represent Stirling Council professionally
