Job summary

PA Media Academy, part of PA Media, is seeking a Professional Training Manager to lead and grow the professional training business in a hybrid role based in Stratford with some travel to Paddington.

You will bring significant journalism and communications experience, identify market needs, and own the training portfolio from concept to delivery, commissioning internal and freelance experts to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a journalist.
• Significant experience in communications, either in-house or agency-side.
• Strong knowledge of, and contacts across, the media and communications industries.
• Understanding of current and emerging skills needs within these sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of our Professional Training business, helping us achieve revenue and margin targets.
• Identify new training opportunities and partnerships using industry insight.
• Keep the training portfolio relevant, high-quality and responsive to industry needs.
• Commission courses from internal experts and freelance tutors with clear briefs.
• Build strong relationships with clients and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
• Collaborate with Business Development to identify prospective clients and new opportunities.
• Partner with Marketing to showcase our training offer and raise the Academy’s profile.
