Job summary

Bechtel is recruiting a Mechanical Assistant for a UK nuclear infrastructure programme. This multi-year contract supports the discipline Mechanical Engineers with planning, design, execution and closeout of mechanical activities, and collaboration with the wider design team.

Based in Reading, you'll work with customers to ensure quality and timely delivery of technical information, performing design checks, and assisting in generating technical documents and schedules as required.

Qualifications

• Ideally, educated to A Level Standard, or equivalent, with degree entry requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Must be able to obtain SC Clearance for access to AWE site.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision and guidance of respective vertical leaders for day-to-day activities.
• With training provided, assist in preparing weekly/monthly reports and activities including developing and utilizing databases.
• Shadowing and learning from experienced professionals in the field.
• Assisting with day-to-day tasks and projects.
• Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills.
• Conducting research and analysis as required.
• Contributing innovative ideas and solutions to ongoing projects.
