Job summary

Howett Thorpe in Guildford is seeking a Management Accountant to join our growing finance team. This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid working and significant opportunities for career progression within a dynamic industry.

It also offers a company bonus scheme and healthcare package. You will report to the Financial Controller and will prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with statutory accounts and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Strong technical accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare accruals and prepayments schedules.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and interest & loan schedules.
• Ensure data is clean and up to date to drive reporting.
• Assist in statutory accounts and auditor queries.
• Work with stakeholders to prepare annual budgets.
• Manage large volumes of financial data using internal systems.
