Job summary

ACCA Careers in Manchester is seeking a Management Accountant to oversee month-end close, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. You'll work with budget holders and senior stakeholders to provide accurate, timely information and support informed decision-making.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, support month-end and year-end processes, produce budgets and forecasts, and deliver insightful commentary on variances, helping shape commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience owning full month-end close.
• Part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred.
• Ability to analyse financial data and present insights.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
• Organised and able to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reports.
• Support month-end and year-end processes.
• Create budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Investigate variances and provide commentary.
• Explain financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
• Monitor costs, revenue and performance.
• Support cash flow reporting and planning.
• Improve finance processes and controls.
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and projects.
