Job summary

British Land is seeking a Technical Services Manager for the Paddington estate. The role focuses on safe, efficient, sustainable operation, leading delivery of critical building services and collaborating with occupiers, service partners and internal teams.

You will influence major improvements, manage compliance and data reporting, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring exceptional occupier experiences. Hybrid London role with 4 days in office.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technical building services in commercial/mixed-use environments.
• Leadership of engineering operations and maintenance programmes.
• Budget management and financial awareness.
• Experience managing third-party providers and contractors.
• Knowledge of health, safety and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and continuity of critical building services to drive operational excellence.
• Manage contracts, monitor plant performance via BMS, and review contractor reports.
• Ensure compliance with current legislation and safety standards.
• Provide day-to-day technical support to Building Management and occupiers.
• Support permit-to-work systems and coordinate with occupiers on outages.
• Liaise on Licence to Alter applications and oversee fit-out reviews.
