Job summary

VIQU IT in London is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid contract role. You will deliver 3rd line infrastructure support across the business, manage Windows Server environments, and administer VMware infrastructure.

The role covers patching, monitoring, disaster recovery testing, scripting with PowerShell, and maintaining IT documentation. Hybrid office schedule requires the ability to commute to our London office.

Qualifications

• Strong Windows Server administration experience (2016/2019/2022).
• VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter management experience required.
• Networking knowledge: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
• Infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting experience.
• Backup and recovery technologies experience.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Ability to commute to London office on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 3rd line infrastructure support across the business.
• Provision, administer, and support Windows Server environments.
• Administer VMware infrastructure, including VMs and storage capacity.
• Monitor performance, investigate alerts, and resolve incidents.
• Apply OS patches, remediate vulnerabilities, and manage antivirus protection.
• Monitor backups, perform restore testing, and support disaster recovery activities.
• Manage user access, server certificates, and core infrastructure services.
• Implement approved changes and maintain technical documentation.
• Develop PowerShell scripts and automate routine tasks.
