Job summary

Certain Advantage is seeking an Automation Developer in London to design, build and maintain our automation ecosystem. The role requires hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC tooling, and Ansible/AAP, delivering secure, scalable automation across production systems.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement automation standards, and produce documentation while operating within a hybrid work model with onsite days.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and Bash scripting experience in production
• Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling
• Experience building and maintaining infrastructure as code
• Familiarity with security best practices in CI/CD and automation
• Ability to integrate systems via REST APIs and event-driven workflows

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end automation pipelines using GitHub Actions, Terraform/OpenTofu, and Ansible Automation Platform
• Manage lifecycle of automation tooling including upgrades and retirements
• Provide operations support, monitoring, and break/fix activities
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for scalable deployments
• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and automation frameworks
• Implement security best practices across automation platforms and pipelines
• Integrate automation platforms with enterprise systems via APIs and webhooks
• Create reusable templates and standards to improve consistency
• Produce technical docs and operational procedures
• Provide guidance to teams adopting automation capabilities
