Job summary

Venn Group's finance recruitment team is seeking a Legal Cashier for a Blackburn-based accredited law firm on a permanent basis. You will manage client and office ledgers, perform bank reconciliations, process financial transactions, raise client invoices and monitor payments, and produce financial reports to support conveyancing and commercial litigation teams.

Qualifications

• Legal cashiering experience in a law-firm setting.
• Working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and SRA regulations.
• Experience maintaining client and office accounts.
• Proficiency with Xero or similar accounting software.
• Understanding double-entry bookkeeping.
• Conveyancing knowledge is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining client and office ledgers and performing reconciliations.
• Processing financial transactions and raising invoices.
• Monitoring outstanding payments and producing financial reports.
• Submitting VAT returns and supporting compliance/audit.
• Assisting conveyancing and commercial litigation teams as needed.
